About the event
This in-person professional learning course is designed for Primary and Junior educators who are working with Indigenous content, perspectives, and responsibilities in early learning spaces and want to move beyond surface-level inclusion.
This is not a lecture-based session. Participants will work collaboratively throughout the day, engage in structured professional discussion, and design learning in real time. The focus is on how Indigenous pedagogical frameworks can be applied meaningfully and responsibly in Primary and Junior classrooms, where relationships, environment, and instructional choices matter deeply.
Participants will examine their current practice, identify gaps or barriers, and work through a guided design process to create a usable instructional artefact appropriate for Primary or Junior learners. This may include lesson structures, learning sequences, or program approaches that align with curriculum expectations while remaining grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing.
